Today take the time to truly pay attention to the people around you. Ask some one how they are feeling, don’t text them, don’t email them, use your voice. Pick up the phone and call someone, listen to their voice, listen to their answers. Watch their body language. Pay attention to your family members, to your friends, co workers, or the people you see everyday. Put your cell phone down and really look and listen.
We are in a crisis in our city, in our province in the world. Let’s step up and help each other. It makes me sad that we are living in a time that we know more about what is happening online than in our own neighbourhoods. We rarely put down our phones, we are always too busy, running, rushing. Living under constant pressure of this busy world. It’s time to stop and slow down, life is already short enough. We need to stop making is shorter.
If you are feeling alone or lost, sad, angry please reach out to someone. You are not alone, your feelings matter, YOU MATTER!!! There is help out there! You don’t have to walk alone.
” Just a reminder, in case your mind is playing tricks on you today: You matter. You’re important. You’re loved. You’re presence matters on this earth and makes a difference, whether you see it or not”
